LOCATION

Canada:
Canada is located in the far north of North America. It stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west and north to the Arctic Ocean, sharing border with the United States to the south and northwest with Alaska.
Its capital city is Ottawa.
USA:
The country is located in North America, includes Alaska, the biggest state of USA, and the archipelago of Hawaii located in the Pacific Ocean. USA is bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south.
Its capital city is Washington.



POPULATION - CURRENCY

Canada:
In 2011, 34 million people were the population of Canada. And as long as Canada is the second biggest country in the world, having just 34 millions of habitants is not too much, so Canada is not crowded at all.
The Canada's currency is the Canadian dollar (CAD)
USA:
In 2010, 310 million people were the population of USA. It's a lot of people, but USA is the third biggest country in the world, it helps to not be so crowded.
The currency is the U.S. dollar (USD).


LANDSCAPE - WEATHER

Canada:
Canada has a great biodiversity; because of its size have a lot of coasts, mountains, rivers, lakes. Canada is the country with the highest number of lakes in the world, the Niagara falls. So it has a lot of different climates too, because its located near the north pole, most of the year its weather is cold, even with snow, but in some seasons the temperature can reach even 40°C: Canada can be anything, cold, template and hot.
USA
USA has a lot of different landscapes, has mountains systems, for example the Great Canyon, has a lot of rivers, a lot of beaches, shares with Canada the Niagara falls, many forests, some plains, deserts, volcanoes, etc. So USA has tropical climate, alpine in the mountains, arid in the deserts, Mediterranean in some states, and polar in some states for example Alaska.

Canada:
Canada is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary type of government wherein the Crown is the foundation of the judicial, legislative, and executive branches of government
USA:
The United States of America's government type is a Constitution-based federal republic with a strong democratic tradition.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

Canada:
Some places more tourists in Canada are:
The Canadian Rockies, Niagara Falls. Pacific Rim National Park, Cabot Trail (Nova Scotia), Vancouver/Victoria, the Rocky Mountaineer




USA
Some places more tourists in USA are:
Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Golden Gate Bridge, Florida Keys, Las Vegas Strip, White House, Denali National Park


 
FOOD




The food of North America is very diverse, because the population has a lot of native and immigrant influences. The American culinary arts are distributed for regions and this is influenced for the more popular cultures.  The traditional American cuisine uses ingredients such as turkey. Some of the technics used at the moment to cook is a slow cook, barbecue, fried and vapor-cook.
The types of food depend of the place that you stay, some examples is tex-mex, oriental cuisine, Italian cuisine, maybe the most important type is the German cuisine because the ingredients that they used, the method of preparation and the food, caused a profound impact on American cuisine especially because the time of preparation is very fast like a hamburgers, pot roast, baked ham and hot dogs.

MUSIC




The music of the United States reflects the country's multi-ethnic population through a diverse array of styles. Among the country's most internationally-renowned genres are hip hop, blues, country, rhythm and blues, jazz, barbershop, pop, techno, and rock and roll.
The blues is a genre of African American folk music that is the basis for much of modern American popular music.
The most famous singer in USA are:  Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Madonna, Jimmy Hendrix, Jennifer Lopez and other.
The most famous singer in Canada are:  Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado, Celine Dion, Bryan Adams and other.

SPORTS

1. Football. In America the term “Football” is basically used for the American Football.




2. Baseball is the most popular sport in USA
3. Basketball. After the baseball and the American Football the next most closely followed game in the North America is Basketball for example NBA (National Basketball Association)
4. Hockey. It is among the most popular sports in the US.
5. Soccer. America is one of those very few countries where Soccer does not hold the top position in terms of popularity.
6. Golf.  Is the sixth when it comes to popularity in the USA as Tiger Woods is the most popular Golfing athlete presently.
7. Tennis. Next in line comes Tennis or Lawn Tennis. In this sport the US also has a great record.




8. Motorsports. The Motorsports including auto-car and the motorcycle racing come next line in terms of it’s following among the people in the United States.
9. Pro Wrestling. Wrestling comes next as the most popular in the United States.

celebrated in early in july and attracts visitors from over the world,this is one of the major events in canada,the stampede celebrated the western canadian heritage,and most events are the aftenoon rodeo,chuck wagon races and live entertainment acts

USA

ART, RELIGION

Canada
In Canada there are different types of expression of art for example the architecture, this depends of aspects very important that are the climate and the geography. Other expressions of art are the literature, the sculpture, the movies and the art.
The predominant religion in Canada is the Roman Catholic with 43%, the second is the protestant with 23 percent (including some currents of this), the third is the other Christianity with 4 percent, the Muslim with 2 percent and none 16 percent.
USA
In USA the art was influenced by the European art but the artists of USA experiment new styles with the pop art and the abstract expressionism .This current of art were developed strongly in the country. Also the modernism and the postmodernism influenced the architects, and some expressions was developed in the country with the theater, the dance and the literature.
The religion in USA predominant is the protestant 52%, the Roman Catholic 24 %
Mormon 2%, Jewish 1%, Muslim 1% and none 10%

HISTORY

Canada
The first habitants of Canada were Indian native. The first explorer was French in 1953 but France lost the conquest and gave the control of Canada to England. In that moment the habitants were Frances but the English arrived to Canada. The firsts governments were of liberal party more later the conservative party, the two parties was English and little by little every provinces was including.
In the actually the constitution retains Queen Elizabeth as queen .This constitution was accepted by every provinces except Quebec.
The participation in the wars was incentivized for England. After of Second World War Canada was co-founder of the ONU.
Canada sent soldiers to help USA in war of Afghanistan but the relations were strained when Canada no support of the war in Iraq.
In the last elections won the conservative party because the liberal party not as strong with before.



USA
The USA was discovered for different countries but after a time the countries ceded the land to England. USA was the first country of America that became independent in 1776 but the problem was that after of independence USA entered into a civil war because one part wanted to continue with the slavery and the other part wanted abolish the slavery and another differences. The Union won the war, they wanted abolished the slavery.
In the First World War USA pleaded central. In the 1929 USA lived the "Great Depression" was an economic crisis in this moment there were several changes.
In the Second World War used the first nuclear arms in the history attacking to Japan. Japan surrendered ending the war.
For several years said the "Cold War with the Soviet Union for different causes.
USA had a failure: the Vietnam War where only spent money and killed many people.
Actually USA had a great misfortune that was the "11 September" and other problems or issues that only seek the interest of country anything above as the Iraq war, the Afghanistan war and the economic crisis.
